Nominated Members of Parliament, being appointed, have the liberty of raising social and political issues that may be controversial. After Calvin stepped down from Parliament, he continued raising issues both on his Facebook page as well as his blog, www.beyondtheemotive.com. Some of his posts touch on controversial socio-political issues that elected representatives find hard to raise.
